Companies face material challenges to their continued financial performance that will be difficult to employ without a robust understanding of the interplay between leadership, organizational culture, and strategy.

No strategy can be successful without system tools set in place to monitor progress. If there’s no understanding of the dimensions of the effects of leadership behavior on organizational culture throughout the organization (as in involving – or not – all the stakeholders in making decisions), there’s a high probability for ending with flawed decisions, which will hinder instead of helping that organization.

Giberson et al. (2009) found that the effects of a high-level leader’s approach to leadership, like a CEO, had far-reaching impacts on how employees created the cultural artifacts that transmitted throughout a firm.  Organizations “thrive on easy communication, and communication thrives on unified understandings” (March, 2004)

It is expected from leaders to exhibit elements of competence, adaptability, and teamwork. They are able to draw from these skills whenever needed - in strategic decisions, day-to-day processes and common behaviors, insuring that their organization outperforms its competition. The shared, tacit assumptions of stakeholders are deeply embedded, a fact that must be recognized and accepted.

The increased involvement of technology in our lives is a mixed blessing. As today’s consumer has a quite unlimited access to information, organizations strive to develop web sites, call centers and wireless communications – while minding their ethical behavior. Technology requires providing the context, a support system and training for the employees. Another aspect is data quality and availability, with structures insuring customers’ privacy.

We’re here to help and guide you through all these issues!

Roger B. Smith (1994)

“Today’s leaders want to help others realize their own power and dignity. They lead because they want to create an environment in which people are free to think, innovate, and unite into teams and groups, in order to solve problems that are too big for any one person to solve alone”
